Fast-Casual Goes Nightlife with Club Applebees

Studio 54-ish
Want to rock and out enjoy some boneless buffalo wings at the same time? Well, get in line for Club Applebee's - a late-night concept from the fast-casual chain. Bloomberg Businessweek goes inside the nightly par-tay that's being rolled out across the country - dubbed Bee's Late Night, the concept is meant to draw in a post 10 PM crowd and compete with TGI-Friday's. The chain has black-light parties, karaoke, '80s dance nights and "like 20 million different remixes" of Call Me, Maybe to keep patrons entertained.

Apparently one of the proposed slogans was "See what happens when the high-chairs are put away" - suburban crowds have been receptive, offering praise like "if I had nothing better to do, it's not the worst place I could go." [via Diner's Journal]
