Summer may be sadly nearing its end, but when it comes to restaurant openings, you have plenty to look forward to with the approach of fall. In addition the projects we've already mentioned, here are a few more.
Around September 15, West Philly will be receiving a new creperie and espresso bar in the form of Rue 52. Offerings will include Philadelphia spins on traditional French fare (503 S. 52nd St.; 7:30-6 PM Monday-Thursday, 7:30-7 PM Friday and Saturday and 10-6 PM on Sundays).
According to the Insider, in October Fishtown residents can welcome Lloyd, a new bar from retired science teacher Lloyd Coudriet and his son and daughter in law, who helped open NYC's Whiskey Ward. The casual ambiance will be complemented by a simple food menu along with plenty of - mostly American - whiskey selections (529 E. Girard Ave.).
Lastly, Drexel University students will have a new food option to check out later this fall when Market 16 & Noodle Bar opens. Foobooz reports that the restaurant, named after the number of its parking garage, will serve tea, sushi and of course, noodles (34th and Market).
