Cinquecento Slated to Open This Fall

The Aquitaine Group may still be hammering out the details of Cinquecento (pronounced cheen-qua-chento with a good strong Italian accent), but we know the Roman trattoria is slated to open at 500 Harrison Ave. in SoWa (South of Washington Street area of the South End) come mid-October.
Chris Robins, who's been chef de cuisine at Gaslight, an Aquitaine Group restaurant, will become the chef and partner. His menu will focus on traditional Italian dishes, ranging $5 to $25 for dinner. The hours are still being worked out.

The Italian eatery will seat about 126 in the main dining room and about 42 at the bar, which will provide cocktails as well as an all-Italian wine list. There will also be a 60-seat patio. Peter Niemitz is designing the multi-level space and fortunately, free parking will be part of the perk if dining here.

The Aquitaine Group, whose partners include Jeff Gates, Seth Woods and Matthew Burns, owns and operates the Aquitaine restaurants, Gaslight Brasserie, Union Bar & Grille, and Metropolis Café.
