Just the other day, after we noticed that Redwood Kitchen had
closed up shop, we asked ourselves "how is it that this place shut down while much larger Nisos could manage to stay in business a few blocks up on 19th Street." Well, we spoke too soon. We noticed that the joint was closed on a walk by the other day - a few messages were scrawled on the exterior of the Mediterranean eatery thanking them for all the years (it had been a fixture in the neighborhood for over 10 years). Surely some other operator will come along and take this prime piece of real estate. Not sure what it will be yet, but we do predict it will be trendy.
