Some big name Chicago chef / restaurateurs are reportedly planning new projects. First up,
Chicago Real Estate Daily has word that Paul Kahan is going to open a restaurant in the Sutton Place Hotel on Rush Street, replacing Whiskey Bar & Grill in the space. This will be Kahan's first hotel project, and the
Publican/
Blackbird owner will have to serve three meals a day and room service. No word yet on the concept, but this is one opening that's bound to make a big splash.
Graham Elliot is also contemplating some new restaurants, but these would establish his reach outside The Windy City.
Eater has word that the chef is considering a project in LA, since he is out there so much for the filming of
MasterChef. Or, he might even decide to focus on The Big Apple, where he's considering opening a fried chicken joint with Questlove from The Roots. What do you think, will Elliot be more at home on the East Coast or the West Coast?
