Casa Pomona Will Serve Tapas to the UWS This September

Tapas alert! This week we took a look at the city's 8 best tapas joints, and today we have word about another contender set to make a play for a spot on the list. Casa Pomona is set to open on the Upper West Side this September - the restaurant is from the owners of Pappardella and Little Town and will feature a Spanish-influenced menu of shareable dishes.

The eatery is named after the Roman goddess Pomona, who represented abundance and it's sizable, featuring 114 seats and a tapas bar in the front for communal dining. Sangria will be served on tap and dishes include paella, grilled Spanish black sausage and meatballs. The aim is to open the second week of September (507 Columbus Ave).
