Caffeine Kick: Pudge Knuckles Now Open in Williamsburg

With a name like Pudge Knuckles, you might envision entering a scene straight out of Fight Club. “The first rule of being a barista: don’t tell ANYONE you’re a barista!”

And while the laid back vibe indoors, not to mention outdoor seating for Manhattan skyline views, are a far cry from a dingy basement, roasts like the East Coast Thriller and Five Boroughs pack a serious punch. After all, if you’re going to serve java in Brooklyn, you’re going to have take it seriously.

Cold brew coffee is a specialty of the house and a selection of pastries are also available to enjoy. Though the beans may be from around the globe, they’re roasted in Red Hook and aim to represent New York’s finest offerings.

For those of you who’ve been looking for a way to master the art of making coffee on your shirt look cool, a full line up of merchandise is available for purchase. The venture is a collaboration between Ivan Greene, a former professional rock climber, and model Hartje Andresen, two careers we imagine require an endless amount of espresso.

To learn more about what items are offered feel free to climb your way over 184 Kent Avenue in Brooklyn or click here.

  1. I had the cold brew coffee the other day and it was so rich in flavor and packed a real caffeine punch. No pun intended. Equally as good, was the home made Pop Tarts and grilled turkey, mozzarella sandwich.
