Heading over to Pasadena's Levitt Pavilion for a free outdoor concert last night - there are only two weekends left...where did the summer go? - we popped into the new
Lucky Boy a few blocks away. This is
the shiny new outpost of the almost 40-year-old Arroyo Parkway stand known for its belly-busting breakfast burrito (available all day) and simple roadside burgers. The patty melt called to us, and the oozing American cheese, lots of grilled onions and toasted buttery rye bread kind of hit the spot. The thin burger is almost an after thought, but it was greasy and good, exactly what you'd expect.
