We've come a long way since the days of
It's-It, San Francisco's pioneer ice cream sandwich maker, which predates the Golden Gate Bridge and still occupies a warm (or should we say cold?) spot in most natives' hearts. In honor of National Ice Cream Sandwich Day, we nod our heads to the It's-It but point you in the direction of five new "it" ice cream sandwiches worth seeking out on any day of the year.
