Weekend Food Planner: London July 26-29

The Olympic Real Food Market opens today at the Southbank Centre, showcasing the best British artisanal food and drink products. Expect to find everything from seasonal fruit and veg to muesli from pesticide-free cereals, organic cheeses, charcuterie and chocolate (noon-8 PM).

Head down to The King's Cross Filling Station - Bistrotheque's redesigned petrol station - to enjoy drinks at the new Forecourt Bar. The bar is sheltered (more rain on the way, sorry) and serves beer, wine, Prosecco, frozen margaritas and slushies, as well as @HomesliceLDN pizza by the slice.

For the next nine days, West Londoners will get the chance to sample some of the best street food in London (usually exclusive to the East End) when 20 Eat.St food stalls and vans set up near Hyde Park as part of The Exhibition Road Show. Expect to see everyone from Kimchi Cult to Horn Ok Please and Jamon Jamon.

Book now for This is Not a Takeaway's next event. The monthly evening is hosted by a different cook who serves food to an audience and engages them in a discussion or concept, and the next event - Emotional Eating - takes place on Thursday, August 2. Book now online.
