The Upper East Side is suddenly awash in non-traditional sweets. A while back we told you about Pip's Place, a new gluten-free bakery in the hood and this week we have news about a new shop from
Vegan Divas coming to the area. The Divas have been producing their Vegan treats and selling them at boutique shops throughout the Big Apple, but the new flagship store will be their first foray into a brand-specific brick-and-mortar location. The grand opening event will take place on August 1, expect a full line of desserts and pastries along with a few savory items (in addition to being vegan, it's all organic). Signature offerings will include gluten-free chocolate mousse, chocolate layered cake and a detox trail mix. Look for the opening at 1437 First Avenue.
