A tipster alerted us to a new Turkish Joint setting up shop in the Chelsea space that used to house Simple Kitchen. Papa Kebab has the paper off the windows and is scheduled to fire up the oven next week. The concept seems pretty straightforward - it's reasonably priced Turkish and Mediterranean fare that can be enjoyed to go as well as in the small sit down space. There are traditional options like lamb, chicken and shrimp kebabs (which we assume were made by papa), some sandwiches and wraps for the lunchtime crowds, and a selection of pizzas for those not feeling the Turkish magic.
