The Bronx Will Get a Food Festival This Fall (Hopefully)

Hunts Point
Aside from Arthur Avenue, the Bronx doesn't get a lot of love from the food obsessed folks in NYC, but city officials are hoping to change that by bringing a new festival to the borough this Fall. Crain's has word that the New York City Economic Development Corporation has asked for bids to bring a one-day fest to the area surrounding the Fulton Fish Market, which recently made the move to this Northern perch. The area, dubbed Hunt's Point, has a lot of wholesalers and food distributors but not a lot of action that appeals directly to consumers. If the one day festival is a success, there could be more events down the road. Sounds great - we be a lot of folks would be excited to check out his area of the city.
