| Frances made the list - what else did? |
They don't call San Francisco diverse for nothing. Only here can you find a 100-year oyster shack with wobbly stools and a standing-room-only bakery with no sign ranking side by side with temples of haute French and Italian cuisine. These 15 restaurants are the tried-and-true jewels of the dining scene, and believe it or not, none of them are Johnny-come-latelies (if you're looking for that, check out our list of hottest newcomers
here). So if you haven't already experienced them yet, it's time to map out the rest of your 2012 dining schedule around them.
It would be nice if Zagat's blogposts actually loaded. Unfortunately, this one, like others, does not.
ReplyDeleteWe're currently looking into the slideshow issue - our apologies for the inconvenience!
DeleteI agree with the previous poster. This is disappointing on a regular basis.
ReplyDeleteDitto!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd the same thing is happening to me!
ReplyDeletePoor on all fronts. repeated blank results with no resolution in the same thread over the course of a week or more. why so difficult?
ReplyDeleteIm over this crappy site that cant even manage to get their lame spreads to work. The reason they do it like this is they get a "hit" for each click. Lame and it dosen't work. Is Obama running things down there????
ReplyDeleteAll of the above!
ReplyDeleteWhy are your programmers incapable of testing their work? When Zagat was running the show this worked. And now????
ReplyDeleteIt's actually working fine. When was it broke?
Deletewhy can't an extremely well-respected company have a website that works?????? the pages never load!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteSan Francisco is SO OVERRATED and you can better food just about anywhere else - without the tattooed attitude and inflated price points for crappy food. Absolutely ridiculous.
ReplyDeleteWhat a comment about a city that is rated 1 or 2 at any given time in the US. You must live under a rock. Living there for 18 years after being in LA, NY and others, I'm glad you go somewhere else and hopefully you live somewhere else too. We don't want you any more than you want us!
DeleteSan Francisco is one of the best cities in the US for dining.
DeleteI'm embarrased for you that you would say "tried and true" to places that are realistically brand new, especially in comparison to the others on the list. When you put Kokkari and Boulevard on a list and then put Range and Frances on the same list, they are not in the same league from a "tried and true" perspective. Although all four of these are excellent and deserving restaurants of many accolades, a less than 10 year old vs. a 20+ year old is quite different. Zagat is looking for reasons to send an email and create a blog...this isn't it for me.
ReplyDeleteYou do know this is all based on people's opinions, right? If its on the list i think it mean people voted for it to be there.
DeleteTerrible list...who wrote this? And no Zuni Cafe?
