Prandial, Now In Previews, Brings American Menu and Seafearing Style to Chelsea

Looks like Chelsea's newest eatery Prandial is in preview mode - we have word that the space quietly opened and will officially start serving it's take on progressive American cuisine next week. The kitchen will turn out cuisine by chef Pierre Rougey, who recently worked as a Chef Instructor at the French Culinary Institute. Though he hails from France, the focus will be on this country's fare. Think a Berkshire smoked pork chop with Brussels sprouts or a seared brook trout with caramelized endives and spinach.

The decor of the space is meant to evoke the dining rooms of the luxury liners that sailed the seas post WWII while paying homage to the industrial history of the space, which used to house clothing manufacturers. There is a small bar that is secluded from the rest of the eatery with views of the street and decor flourishes include vintage theater lights and antique brass chandeliers.
