In honor of Grub Street's massive taco list (40!), here we have one of our favorites, Ricky's Fish Tacos. Ricky Pina sets up a couple of fryers under a tent, a cooler for drinks, some aguas frescas, and a few tables and chairs in a small parking lot across from the Vons in Los Feliz. He's there Thursdays through Sundays, and it's one of our favorite under-$10 meals of all time. The batter, flecked with herbs and spices, is what makes the fish, shrimp or lobster just perfect. Each is served piping hot right out of the fryer, flopped into a tortilla, and topped with cabbage and pico de gallo. Squirt some on some crema and salsa verde, and you're good to go.
