Philadelphia's 5 Best Bistros

With the opening of La Petite Dauphine in Rittenhouse last week, Le Bec-Fin alum David Smith brings a true Parisian cafe experience to Philadelphia. Think European coffee, an 18-item cheese cart and a dessert cart laden with canelés and macarons, served in an airy space that channels the refined luxury of Saint-Germain-des-Prés arrondissement. Dinner service has not yet begun (look for a series of guest chef “immersion” events later this summer), but there are several other spots in Philly to enjoy refined-yet-casual Gallic fare. To get your steak frites or terrine fix, check out the best French bistros in our region, as voted by you in our survey. Escargot for all!
