Open Call: What Are Your Favorite Neighborhood Gems in LA?

You know the kind of place we're talking about - your go-to casual date night, favorite burger joint or stellar brunch spot that diners outside your zip code might not know about. Sure, we all love our big nights out, but when you're looking for something a little closer to home, this is where you head. You can leave your suggestions in the comments, or email us with a few sentences describing your favorite neighborhood haunt - your suggestion might just end up in our upcoming roundup.

  1. I live in Orange County, and whenever my family and I spend a day in LA, we always eat at either Tito's Tacos or Philippe's. Don't be intimidated by the sometimes very long lines at either place-- it's so worth the wait when you dig in! Get a few tacos at Tito's, and a French dip and some red velvet cake at Philippe's.

  2. Nieuport 17 in Tustin has been serving great Steaks and Seafood for over 40 years. Serves classic cocktails (since before they were classic) and craft beers. New partners have brought new life and many improvements which continue.
