Celestino Drago's
new Osteria Drago quietly debuted on the Sunset Strip. After closing his eponymous Santa Monica restaurant, the chef took over Il Sole, moved over his Drago chef, Evan Gotanda, to man the stoves, and did a quick redo on the interior. The space is a bit ligher and brighter, with colorful Italian glass vases, herb boxes out front, and linens (!) on the tables. Among the smattering of salads, antipasti, pastas and secondi, you'll find dishes like arugula, grilled peaches and speck; the famous papardelle with pheasant and morels; and veal with potato gnocchi (8741 Sunset Blvd.)
Cafe Gratitude, Larchmont's
hippie-dippie cafe doubles its Los Angeles offerings with its new Venice location. Everything from the I Am Extraordinary to the I Am Dazzling are available on Rose Avenue, just an I Am Grateful throw far from the new
