Maroush - one of our top 5 favourite Lebanese restaurants - is known for its late night antics, serving shawarma and falafel to London's after dark crowd till 5 AM. But Maroush Bakehouse - a new concept from the popular restaurant group - is now set to be part of our morning routine too.
The new spot on Beauchamp Place is the second bakehouse (the first opened two months ago on Earl's Court Road) and specialises in freshly baked artisan and international breads. Typical Lebanese breakfast fare such as labneh (strained yoghurt served with olive oil, dried thyme and bread) or foul moudamas (boiled broad beans with garlic, lemon juice and oil) can be eaten around a communal table, while lunch includes sandwiches (mozzarella with ciabatta, turkey baguette or halloumi meshwi) as well as Middle Eastern salads, soups and Lebanese desserts.
