Now Open in London: SushiSamba

It's been a long time coming, but SushiSamba London is finally open. The restaurant, a U.S. import (with branches in New York, Miami, Chicago and Las Vegas), is located on the top two floors of East London's Heron Tower, serving a colourful fusion of Japanese, Peruvian and Brazilian food, with spectacular views from the two terraces.

London head chef Jeff Kipp has introduced new dishes to the menu, as well as included popular choices from the New York location, such as the el Topo roll made with salmon, jalapeƱo, shiso leaf, melted fresh mozzarella and crispy onions, plus the Moqueca Mista - a delicious mix of shrimp, squid and lobster stock, coconut milk, cashew and chimichurri rice.

Cocktails are as exotic as you would expect them to be. Imagine tempting vodka-based drinks made with everything from muddled strawberries to red Thai basil syrup, shiso leaves and fresh apple and peach juice.

During the soft -launch period (until Wednesday), they are only open for dinner, but after that SushiSamba will open daily from 11:30 AM and close at 3 AM on Friday and Saturdays.
