New York Dining Deals and Events July 16-22


Nachos NY teams up with Brooklyn Brewery and bands Moon Hooch, North Highlands, and the Dan Piccoli Trio for the third annual Guac Rock Boat Cruise tonight at 7 PM. Tickets are $25 at the door and include free chip and guac, plus $3 brews.


Marc Murphy’s Benchmarc Events partners with NY Waterway Ferries for their Summer Cruise series, featuring food and beverage pairings with different themes every Tuesday. Tonight’s theme is Beef, Bourbon and Beer, featuring three brews, three bourbons, and a trio of beef dishes. The evening costs $60 - purchase tickets and see future cruise themes here.


Dinner series City Grit presents an evening with Chef Tien Ho (Momofuku Ssäm Bar, Má Pêche) who will prepare a five-course menu tonight and tomorrow evening highlighting meat, produce and wine from some of his favorite farmers and vinters. Tickets for the evening are $65, and can be purchased here.


Beginning tonight, Russian restaurant FireBird will be offering unlimited caviar and champagne or vodka cocktails on its third-floor terrace for $100 per person every Thursday from 5-7 PM.


Celebrate the end of the work week with happy hour at East Village Italian Spina, which offers $3 drafts, $6 wine, and $5 meatballs and mussels from 5:30 to 8 PM.


July is National Ice Cream month and fans of the frozen treat can celebrate at Smorgasburg today, where a dozen local ice cream makers will be serving up their sweet, cold creations. Check it out here.


Sidetour hosts a clambake with the Michael Proietti of the Food Network today from noon-2 PM. Guests will head to Bay Street Beach on City Island to scarf down a New England-inspired seafood feast including clams, crab, mussels and oysters. Tickets are $75, and can be purchased here.
