Monday
For the last 13 years, Dogfish Head Brewery has been working with a molecular archaeologist to uncover ancient brewing techniques and ingredients, and tonight you’ll have the chance to taste the results of that collaboration at their Ancient Ales Dinner at Craftbar. The $100 evening includes a five-course dinner with beer pairings, like roasted squab and their “Theobroma” brew, the recipe of which was based on the analysis of 3,000 year old pottery fragments. Tuesday
“Tastes of Summer” Restaurant Days at Rockefeller Center returns, with select food and beverages from restaurants including The Sea Grill, Magnolia Bakery, AJ Maxwell’s and more available from 11 AM-2:30 PM until Thursday. Wednesday
At 7 PM, Cobble Hill pub 61 Local hosts the finale tasting of their “Meet Your Maker” series featuring pairings of Kelso brew with a local food purveyor, like Saxelby Cheese Mongers, Brooklyn Cured, Brooklyn Brine Co., and Phin & Phebes ice creamery. Tickets for the evening cost $45, with proceeds going to benefit the Brownsville Student Farm Project. Purchase them here.
Thursday
The James Beard House presents their annual Bastille Day celebration tonight with a dinner prepared by members of the Maîtres Cuisiniers de France, including Marc Bauer of the International Culinary Center and Bernard Liberatore of CORE: club. The evening begins with champagne and hors d’oeuvres like lobster bisque with morel ragout, followed by dinner with dishes like braised halibut with vegetable chutney and natural au jus, with wine pairings. Friday

Saturday
Celebrate the running of the bulls in Pamplona from the safety of a table at West Village tapas spot Las Ramblas, which has created a special menu including txistorra sausage wrapped in puff pastry ($8). Come dressed in the traditional white and red of the bull runners, and you’ll score a free glass of rosé.
Sunday
French Institute Alliance Française presents the annual Bastille Day Celebration on 60th Street from noon - 5PM today. Visitors will find crêpes, canelés, and fromage from restaurants including Bistro 61, Brasserie Cognac and Ponty Bistro, plus wine, live music, and a raffle with prizes including a one week trip for two to Paris and Beaujolais.
