Morgan’s Pier Offering Federal Donuts for Brunch

Donut alert! The flavors of “fancies” coming out of chicken and donut shop Federal Donuts have been getting more and more inventive, with recent offerings like “fig on fig” and strawberry-rhubarb taking advantage of in-season produce. Now, for the first time since the small Pennsport cafe launched nearly a year ago, these creative cakes will be available elsewhere. Starting this weekend, you’ll be able to order the day’s varieties at waterfront beer garden Morgan’s Pier during brunch. The Delaware River deck bar serves morning-after dishes like breakfast tacos, smoked salmon BLT and fried tomato-egg-cheese sandwiches from noon-3 PM both Saturday and Sunday, and the donuts will be a welcome sweet addition to the menu.
