More Bastille Day Celebrations in Boston and Cambridge

Sandrine's Bistro will celebrate Bastille Day as part of Harvard Square festivities July 15.
Boston and Cambridge are coming alive with French-focused ways to celebrate Bastille Day. We gave you a few ideas last week. Here are a few more.

Holyoke Street in Harvard Square will be hopping July 15 with an evening fête hosted by Harvard Square Business Association and Sandrine’s Bristro. The night includes a sampling of French bites from The Beehive, Brasserie Jo, Cardullo's Gourmet Shoppe, Chez Henri, La Voile and other restaurants. Park Restaurant will be hosting a beer garden. Live music and French techno music from DJ Kamal are part of the festivities that will have you dancing (and eating) in the streets (5-10 PM; visit Harvard Square Business Association website for more details).

Chef Robert Sisca of Bistro du Midi is offering a four-course prix fixe menu of Provençal delights July 12 through July 15. The menu includes such classics as steamed mussels, fennel, tomato, garlic broth; grilled skirt steak; and lemon pistachio tart, rhubarb coulis. The tasting includes wines from Rhône producer, Jean-Luc Colombo ($65 per person; 617-426-7878. Bistrodumidi.com).

Aka Bistro in Lincoln is wearing its tricolors in the form of a three-course, prix fixe menu to celebrate Bastille Day. Choose among the very classic Vichyssoise
; braised short rib with ratatouille and fingerling potato or
almond-crusted trout; and the panna cotta tricolore
French flag or
chocolate mousse. The menu is offered July 13 and 14 ($39 per person. 617-269-0900; akabistrolincoln.com).
