Sad news of a major loss for the SF dining scene comes down the wire today - Maurice Rouas, the iconic owner of
Fleur de Lys passed away on Tuesday at 73. Rouas purchased the legendary restaurant in 1970 and in 1986, brought in a young Hubert Keller to man the stoves. The Paris-born Rouas was known for being a welcoming host to his guests and friends and colleagues described him as a "father figure." RIP Maurice, you will be missed. Read the full obit

I'm so sad to hear this news. He was a kind and generous man.
