| Where does Providence fall on the list? |
We're halfway through the year, and although there are some
hot new restaurants you need to hit, don't overlook those that made our Top Food contenders in the 2012 Los Angeles Restaurants survey. Some are perennial favorites, others rank high for the first time, and some fall beyond the city limits. Take a look through the slideshow to see what tops the list according to your votes.

ReplyDeleteI wonder what happened to the 22 negative comments I was just reading before I tried to reload the page? Interesting. Shocking its working on chrome and android but nowhere else.
ReplyDeleteIf Japanese food isn't your thing(no French, one Italian, no Indian, com'on) and you don't want to pay over $100/person ($488 at one place-good grief, what are the poor people eating?) you are going to starve in LA according to this list. Frankly, I think it's total BS!
ReplyDeleteI'm baffled by the ranking system. Based on scores for food alone they're all tied except Matsuhisa which gets a one point advantage. So if all the others are tied at 28 for food one would think the total points might have something to do with the ranking. I can't make head or tail out of it. Total points, Providence whips everyone except Melisse. Yet it's a number 9. Based on what? As far as I can see this ranking doesn't even reflect the overall opinion of the participants in the survey. Whazzzzup?

My friends and I actually prefer Providence's decor and service much more than Melisse. We found Melisse's servers/bussers to be not as well trained nor having the finesse as those in Providence.
