There has been a lot of turnover lately at the Columbus Avenue space that used to house City Grill. Recently, the haunt closed down and reopened as Columbus Tavern, which lasted for about a year. Last week, the spot opened as another eatery dubbed A.G. Kitchen, helmed by chef Alex Garcia, who co-hosts
The Melting Pot on The Food Network. The new haunt has redecorated in a much more extensive way, featuring a colorful palate and knick-knacks like pots and pans, while the menu features a selection of casual, Latin-American fusion that is moderately priced in fitting with the joint's neighborhood vibe. Think burgers and tacos, along with tableside presentations for guacamole and whole roast chickens. A.G. Kitchen is now open at 269 Columbus Ave. (212-873-9400).
