The people have spoken and they’ve chosen The Fireplace in Brookline as having the Best Burger (winner of the People’s Choice Award) according to the July issue of Boston magazine. So, if you’re curious or just hungry, you can taste it for yourself. On July 29, Jim Solomon is hosting a Burger Bash - an outdoor fête behind the restaurant featuring live music, outdoor fun, à la carte picnic treats and the burger. Wondering what it's made of? Think a Shelburne Farms cheddar-stuffed grass-fed Vermont burger with thick cut bacon, caramelized onions, lettuce and tomato on a housemade English Muffin with pickles (noon-8 PM; $10 in advance by calling the restaurant, and $15 at the door; 617-975-1900).
