Feastival the food scene party of the year, and tickets are now on sale for the Wednesday, September 12 event. It’s the third time this fund-raiser for the Philadelphia Live Arts Festival and Philly Fringe has been held, and each year it grows in both cachet and quality. Restaurants clamor to participate (more than 85 signed up this year), and serve some of the finest hors d'oeuvres and canapés around (last year Mémé's David Katz even brought a keg of Dark 'n' Stormys).
Guests nosh and sip while strolling the aisles of a transformed riverfront warehouse at Pier 9, entertained by live artists who hang from the ceiling and swing off sculptures. By the time Michael Nutter is done with the check presentation on stage, the music is pumping and the dance floor is hopping. If you’re interested in hanging with the movers and shakers of the Philly restaurant and art worlds, this is one night not to miss (6-9 PM; $250 or $350 for VIP; tickets available here).
