Not to be outdone by the happening Dream Downtown, the older Midtown Dream Hotel has rolled out an impressive slate of revamped food and beverage offerings. The first was
Jelsomino, a new karaoke club that lets performers tear it up with backup singers and a live band. Then there was the updated lobby lounge dubbed
The Bar at Dream New York. Now it's time for a new edible option. Courgette, a mediterranean bistro, is launching at the property this week. The restaurant is run by the Ginza Group, who runs the property's karaoke club along with Meatpacking District haunts MPD and Double 7. This spot is sure to be a scene - and the property's rooftop bar Ava is still going strong.
While the hotel still doesn't carry the Downtown cred sported by its sister property, there sure isn't a lot else going on in this area. Oh, and in case you were wondering, the name means zucchini - so while not many details have been released regarding the menu, we certainly expect a dish or two to include the veggie (204 W. 55th St.).
