| Bon Me soba noodle lunch |
The food trucks parked at
Dewey Square - the tip of
The Rose F. Kennedy Greenway at Summer Street and Atlantic Avenue in Boston’s Financial District - call like sirens at lunchtime. So many choices:
Clover,
BBQ Smith,
Kickass Cupcakes (for dessert, or sometimes a starter) and
Bon Me, among others. This week we ordered the
buckwheat soba noodles from Bon Me. They were $6, and came with cilantro, carrot, daikon, bean sprouts, red onion and tofu (there’s chicken or pork, too), all mixed with a spicy peanut sauce. Hallelujah. A lunch that was bold, flavorful, satisfying, and suited the vegetarian side of our personality. Plus, we found a shady spot at a table overlooking the park. We'll be back for the pork.
