All this talk about National Fried Chicken Day created an itch that needed scratched. We opted for a semi-healthy version from Tender Greens, where the buttermilk fried chicken is cooked to order and served atop a beautiful mound of lettuces. The meat was juicy and flavorful, the coating nice and crisp, and we love the contrast with cool greens and light dill dressing. A green tea Arnold Palmer kept us from sipping a beer at lunch, but we thought about it. It's still a holiday, right? The salad is perfect for picnics at the Bowl, Greek or anywhere.
