Attention Macy's Shoppers: Yigit Pura Is About to Unleash Tout Sweet

Eclair, my darling?

All of a sudden, it's raining sweets out in San Francisco. Earlier in the summer we told you about the tsumami of highly anticipated sweet shops slated to open this summer. Since then, Belinda Leong has secured a Lower Pacific Heights brick-and-mortar address for her forthcoming B Patisserie (2128 California St.) and we've seen the opening of Craftsman and Wolves, La Boulange du Dome and Hayes Valley Bakeworks.


Next up, tout suite, will be Top Chef: Just Desserts winner Yigit Pura's forthcoming cafe and pâtisserie Tout Sweet, which has set an opening date of August 25. The whimsical cafe, which will be located on the third floor of Macy's in Union Square, will sell morning pastries, breakfast sandwiches and suitably fancy lunch fare such as salads, quiche and a decadent-sounding 'B3 sandwich' made with bread, butter and burrata. SF Eater tell us that Pura is also "launching a line of desserts inspired by great historic visionaries, like the 'Tesla' in homage to Nikola Tesla’s translation of electricity into power."

Until then, we can only dream of Yigit lovingly feeding us eclairs as we ride the MUNI.
