Mana Food Bar is coming to the aid of their line cook Ashley Pruneau after she was viciously attacked on July 1.
Preneau is currently recovering from an assault that occurred in her apartment when she returned from work. According to NBC, a lone assailant beat her with a hammer and left her for dead. She is currently healing from life-saving head surgery in Ohio with her family, but will need a second procedure.
To help Preneau pay for medical bills and ease her recovery, co-workers at Mana have set up a recovery fund. They have raised nearly $3,000 of their $5,000 goal. Donations can be made via GoFundMe.
In addition to direct donations, Preneaus former employer Letizia’s Fiore are hosting an event on the 31st at 7 PM. Pizza, wine and beer will be included in the $15 cover, as well as a silent auction. All proceeds will go directly to Preneaus, which is why the restaurant is asking checks be made out in her name, according to the 312 Dining Diva.
