Upcoming Special Appearance Dinners With Marc Orfaly and Christine Chitnis

Marc Orfaly will be the guest chef at Bambara on June 11.

It’s de rigueur if not good form for chefs to host guest chefs. In turn, Bambara’s Jay Silva welcomes Pigalle’s Marc Orfaly on June 11, when Orfaly will whip up a five-course menu featuring Middle East-inspired dishes like whole spring lamb with Greek yogurt, paired with wine (5:30-10 PM; $65 per person; 617-868-4444).


Though she won't be cooking, guest author Christine Chitnis will be part of the “Markets of New England” dinner at Beacon Hill Hotel & Bistro on June 14. Her book (of the same name) has inspired executive chef Josh Lewin to create a five-course dinner with each course inspired by one of the markets Chitnis describes in her book. Dishes include day boat scallop ceviche; sweet corn pudding; and braised Concord rabbit (7 PM; $75 per person, excluding tax and gratuity; 617-723-7575).
