Changes are afoot for the annual feel-good foodie party known as Taste of the Nation. On Sunday, June 10, the event goes down at The Lot in West Hollywood (as opposed to Media Park in Culver City) with plenty of new chefs and restaurants - more than 40 in all - plus a slew of cocktailians and a craft beer tent. Oh, it also happens to be Pride weekend, but don't let that stop you from heading into WeHo. The event is always worth it no matter where it's held: you won't leave hungry, and you'll be helping feed hungry kids via Share Our Strength's efforts.

Among regular participants Akasha, BLD and Fig, newbies like Blue Cow Kitchen + Bar, Farmshop, Cooks County and Michael Voltaggio's ink. are just a few of the new restaurants participating. And don't forget to try out Umami's pink slime burger at its table. There are some amazing auction items up for grabs, including a night at the California Science Center hosted by Mary Sue Milliken and Susan Feniger that starts with a taco-truck appetizer for you and 11 friends, includes a private tour through the museum and ends with a sustainable seafood dinner cooked by the chefs.

Tickets are $160 for VIP, $110 general admission and $25 for kids, and all proceeds go to Share Our Strength (purchase here). Please note: as a result of Pride, Santa Monica Boulevard will be closed from Doheny to Fairfax, so your best bet is Beverly or Sunset (depending on your direction) to La Brea.
