The NY Times enlisted Jim Meehan to create a
"randomizer" that will show you beverages to make using modifiers like Curaçao, Bénédictine, maraschino and Tasting Table just launched a new section dubbed
Back Bar where they ask come of the country's best bartenders for their takes on classic cockatails, with a few new twists thrown in for good measure. Both tools are pretty cool, for spirits geeks and novices alike, and not just because they justify having a tipple in the name of "research."
