Summer of Riesling at Terroir and Hearth, Late Night Happy Hour at Pounds & Ounces

Yep, it's Riesling time again in the Terroir/Hearth universe, and the restaurant group is kicking off its fifth annual summer celebration of the varietal with a series of dinners tonight. Hearth and the Terroir locations in the East Village, Murray Hill and TriBeCa will host four-course dinners with matching wines. The Terroir shindigs start at 6:30PM and will cost $65 per person while the Hearth meal is at 7PM and runs $95 for food and wine. Get more info by calling your local outpost.

And for those times when you've had way, way too much wine but want something to eat when you are stumbling home, Chelsea newcomer Pounds and Ounces just launched a new late-night bar menu that features a slew of nibbles for $5 if you're parked at the bar or one of the joint's communal tables. $5 gets you lobster corn dogs or sliders and $4 gets you asparagus fries or deviled eggs. The cheapy dishes are available after 11PM on Sundays-Thursdays (and from 4-7PM on the weekdays for those taking part in after work bar-hopping).
