Boston Uncorked's annual Summer Solstice Party on June 20 celebrates the summer season with a roof deck party at Blu. With more than 25 wines to sample and bites from chef Kathleen Smith, you can’t go wrong with this official start to summer - even if it is a day early (7-9 PM; $45 per person; click here for tickets).
Sit-down dinners are for the birds, that’s why on June 23, Stone Zoo will host "A Wild Affair," a food and drink tasting event to benefit the zoo based in Stoneham. Small plates from restaurants such as Legal Sea Foods and Capital Grille are part of the experience (5:30-9:30 PM; $50 per person in advance, $60 at the door; 617 989-2015; zoonewengland.org).
