Sprinkles Expanding to the Middle East, New Food TV Shows

Sprinkles, the LA-based cupcake chain and inventor of the infamous cupcake ATM is expanding to the Middle East of all places. 34 new locations are planned in countries like Oman, Jordan, Iraq with the Kuwait location opening first in December. [via Eater LA]

Jamie Oliver is exec producing a greenlit new show for BBC America called Chef Race: U.K. vs. U.S. The series will star as Claire Robinson of the Food Network and London restaurateur Richard Corrigan as host and judge respectively. [Deadline]

Paula Deen is shopping around a new show she plans to host entitled Food Chain which is a knock-off of Italian show, Cuochi e Fiamme produced by Zodiak USA. [Variety via Eater]
