Secret's Out: Mission Chinese Food Does Take Reservations

While waiting outside Mission Chinese Food for a couple hours and waiting for one of those much-sought-after tables may be a right of passage for NYC foodies, we were listing to an in-the-know friend lament the fact that she would have to show up at 5:30 PM for any chance of getting in. Not so! While it was not widely publicized when the joint first opened, Danny Bowien's Sichuan haunt does in fact take reservations. When it opened, the word was that there were reservations available "for the bar" - but in fact they were reserving space beyond the four stools that made up that area.
