Salad Pizza, the Best of Both Worlds

Yesterday we made a joke about Stella Rossa's spinach-topped slice being a salad and pizza in one, until we remembered there really are salad-topped pizzas in town. And could there be anything more perfect than two dishes in one?

Mohawk Bend fills its zucchini and caramelized onion pizza with fresh avocado and lemon-dressed lettuces. At Simmzy's in Long Beach, an arugula salad with sundried tomatoes, roasted red peppers and olives top a basil pesto, goat cheese and mozzarella flatbread. You're supposed to fold it over and eat it like a sandwich, which is kind of brill, actually. Abbot's Pizza's salad pizza is wildly popular with greens, avocado, sour cream and feta. Know more?
