It's rooftop bar season, and we've learned about two new penthouse watering holes that are pouring this season. The first is in Midtown's Sanctuary Hotel. Dubbed Haven, this new bar has 150 seats and panoramic views of the surrounding buildings. There's a communal table where 20 people can camp and some tables in cabanas if you're looking for a more intimate vibe. There's also a DJ booth above the lounge area that will keep the party going. The rooftop lounge is open until midnight on Sunday through Wednesday and until "late" on Thursday through Saturday.
Another rooftop may not be as high in the air as Haven, but Tavern 29's second floor beer garden is sure to pack them in with its selection of a dozen brewskis and menu that features items like sausages and pulled pork sliders. The alfresco digs are on the top of the townhouse that holds the restaurant, so this one has a more casual feel with picnic tables, exposed brick and hanging white lights.
