Yesterday, a bunch of Zagat fans braved the sweltering heat and mingled in an outdoor garden for one reason and one reason only: pizza. To celebrate the end of Pizza Week, we threw a little shindig in the backyard of Pizza Roma on Bleecker Street. Despite the sweat dripping from everyone's brow, a good time was had by all, especially when the pies started streaming out of the kitchen.
Our favorite had to be the one topped with argula and tomato, which owner Andrea Franchini said he got at the new green market in the Chelsea Triangle that very day. Check out the pics above, and if you want to try the pizza stop by Roma or hit up that green market, since they'll be dishing out slices there every Friday and Saturday through the summer.
