Pete Wells Awards Japanese Eatery Neta Two Stars

Tuna Sashimi at Neta
For his restaurant review this week, NY Times critic Pete Wells dropped into Neta, a new sushi restaurant from some Masa vets in the West Village. Petey was impressed by the grub at the no-frills eatery, saying it's "unusually well-made" and that after multiple visits, he "enjoyed it very much." He does have a few complaints about the spot, particularly in the decor department, pointing out that the unadorned room is in not so great company: "There are diners on Route 4 in New Jersey that give you more to look at."
