Off-The-Radar Rooftops: Crow’s Nest Opens For The Season

Chillin' at the Crows Nest
Summertime in the city means margaritas, lobster rolls and rooftop bars… and if you’re lucky, you’ll get all three at once. That’s the deal at the Crow’s Nest, the unpretentious bar on top of The Water Club that just reopened for the summer season.

While the restaurant itself runs with an old-school, white-tablecloth vibe, the Crow’s Nest is super laid-back and down-to-earth, with white plastic furniture, a beach shack-like bar area and a casual menu of burgers, oysters and, yes, lobster rolls, plus bourbon iced tea, sangria and other seasonal cocktails. It’s the kind of place you can go with friends to enjoy some sunshine and a nice East River breeze (while day-drinking and singing along to classic hits from the ’80s and ’90s, of course).

The Water Club is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, which means the Crow’s Nest is joining in on the fun, too. Every Tuesday and Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. through the month of June, you can get 30 chef-selected oysters for $30 at the rooftop bar. All the more reason to take that mid-week “mental health” day, right?
