For a more substantial meal, head to the West Village and The Darby where a new Summertime Supper special on weekdays means a three-course dinner for $45 between 5:30-7:30 PM.

Tuesday

Appetizing shop Russ & Daughters comes to the Astor Center tonight for their annual Herring Pairing dinner from 6-9 PM. The evening includes a dizzying array of dishes made with New Catch Holland Herring, prepared by Chef Chikara Sono from Kyo Ya restaurant. Tickets are $75 and can be purchased here.

Wednesday

The 5th Annual Taste of the Greenmarket takes place at 82 Mercer at 6 PM tonight, with over 20 NYC chefs and mixologists including Michael Anthony (Gramercy Tavern), Dan Kluger (ABC Kitchen), and Richard Murphy (Buttermilk Channel) whipping up market-inspired dishes and seasonal cocktails. Park Slope Pan-Latin eatery Palo Santo will host a wine and tapas party tonight at 6 PM featuring New York state wines paired with tapas made from local and homegrown ingredients.

Friday

End your work week outside at Flatiron Peruvian La Mar Cebicheria, which officially opens its patio today. Take in the view of Madison Square Park over a pitcher of pisco sour and causas, a whipped potato appetizer, in varieties like tuna tartar or Spanish day-boat octopus.
