New Chef at Vinatta Project, Pichet Ong's New Project

Some news from the chef shuffles front. First up, The Meatpacking District's Vinatta Project just announced that Marc Anthony Bynum is taking the reigns at the space, replacing the Mulberry Project's Mike "Kiwi" Camplin. Bynum, who was featured on Chopped, has already revampped the menu of booze-friendly fare.

Over on the Upper West Side, pastry chef Pichet Ong has announced that he's now executive pastry chef at Sugar and Plumm, a bakery and chocolate shop on the UWS, which is opening later this summer. Offerings at the shop include chocolate-chunk cookies and macarons, and Ong plans to introduce items like a giant homemade raspberry apple pop-tart.
