Mezze's new summer cocktail menu was created by sous chef Johathan Whitener, whose concoctions are heavily influenced by some of the ingredients in exec chef Micah Wexler's cooking. So you'll see things like Deli Juice (vodka, dill pickle, serrano pepper and mustard seed), and other drinks made things like sumac, artichokes, tomato water, fresh fruits and house-made bitters.
Additionally, Wexler now offers bar bites like fries topped with brisket and Syrian cheese; braised Moroccan-spiced chicken wings; and eggplant hushpuppies. The space has a few more high-top tables and a banquet for lounging, and there's a new happy hour when you can get half-priced cocktails, beer and glasses of wine weekdays from 6 to 7:30 PM, and 11 PM to 1 AM on weekends. Drink it all in at 401 North La Cienega Boulevard.
